4 Levels of Hot Dogs: Amateur to Food Scientist | Epicurious

Опубликовано: 22 янв 2020
We challenged chefs of three different skill levels - an amateur, a home cook, and a professional - to make us some hot dogs. After each of them had offered up their creation, we asked a food scientist to review their work. Which one looks like the most fun on a bun?

4 Levels of Hot Dogs: Amateur to Food Scientist | Epicurious

  • We don't deserve Emily

  • Every 4 levels of food , for some reason the amateur’s food always look the best

  • Honestly I just want those pickled onions

  • Feelsbad when half these "hot-dogs" are sausages.

  • Level 1’s Frankfurt was no match for level 2’s bratwurst!

  • Imagine being in an apocalypse with Frank while starving. We have fresh hot dogs over here but noooo Frank has to slay his own sheep

  • You dont boil hot dogs. You boil water, turn it off and put the dogs in. They are already cooked.

  • Did he say he added human to his sausage

  • The Level 1 chef is very chill and likes to cook. The Level 2 chef is a person who loves to cook for themselves and others. And the Level 3 chef is a person who loved cooking so much, they made a name for themselves.

  • I wouldn't want Emily cooking for me but i can tell shes that fun mom

  • when lorenzo isnt in an episode but frank is *happisad noises*

  • You need to try Chilean completos. Tomato and Avocado are perfect for hot dogs.

  • Who else has a crush on Emily

  • As a German, Julie makes me cringe really hard...

  • I'm from Chicago and think these people are nuts!

  • Emily is the only one who made a hotdog. Until the end... Like Dirty Harry said, "Nobody, and I mean NOBODY, puts ketchup on a hotdog." BAD GIRL! Julie made Brats. Bratwurst are not hotdogs. MIght as well have used polska kielbsa. Frank made, perhaps frankfurters? I dunno bout this guy. There's such a thing as too much, ya know? Simple foods should be simple. "Gormet" is not always better.

  • Ummm is it just me or did I just see frank NOT unwrap the hot dog. I think I’m the only one bothered by this.

  • just the hot dog boiled in water, then placed on a bun... why waste so much effort on a hot dog...?

  • I really think that the best Hot Dog is the brazilian one.

  • In every video Frank just brags about how good his food is while saying everyone else’s food is good he secretly is thinking that his food is much better

  • Summary of the series Level 1 chefs like to cut corners Level 2 chefs cut some corners but like to make things themselves Level 3 Everything homade

  • Pretty sure Emily's hot dogs were kosher.

  • Me at 11:30: What a nice video. *Clicks away*

  • We need more of the chef level 2 lady 😂😂😂 less of Lorenzo he's jokes are lame af tbh

  • i just microwave it for 20 seconds and not eat the bun

  • 2 words every level 3 chef uses 1st is from 2nd is scratch

  • I really was looking forward to Emily making a Hot Dog Martini smh

  • emily “you can’t make a hotdog without mustard” frank-with emphasis and dramatic zoom- “p i c k l e d. o n i o n s”

  • I wouldn't eat neither. I hate onions and mostard at hotdoggos

  • If only they had Lorenzo as lv 2 chef

  • Emily's is a joke 😂😂

  • The food scientist must have sucked Frank's hotdog after this.

  • Me: bakes hot dogs and buns with butter. Then pile on condiments

  • Me:*watching the whole video* Also me: hey, julie got a new haircut

  • Hebrew National over a camp fire and toasted buns is the only way to go.

  • hotdog is called fast food for a reason I'm not gonna wait 2 days for some hotdog lv1 for me

  • They should make 3 of each so everybody tastes every version and give their opinion as well

  • I hate when Frank is on here

  • If you wanna just commit to doing a lazy hot dog, boiling is not the fastest! Just microwave it! Takes like 30-40 seconds and there's no real discernible difference between boiled and microwaved (actually I'd say they're less soggy). Way less time than waiting for the water to even come to a boil and then 4-5 minutes on top of that.

  • Frank: patience, luxury, almost perfect Julie: good vibes only Emily: *groceries, eezee, fass, delishos*

  • Frank: hey can i have 1 mor day please Staff: uhhh not again!!

  • I think Julie is like the bob ross for cooking

  • Ez cheese on a hotdog lol

  • I love how loyal Emily is to ketchup; I thought she wouldn't use it this time.

  • Seeing this makes me wonder what level is gordan Ramsey ????

  • Cheese wiz? Bacon. I hope she was promptly arrested

  • Emily’s cute because she’s honest

  • Julie is a living breathing Aunt Jemima

  • Honestly i would rather go out and buy one 😂 lvl3 chef just rocked it... But man i got no time for that!!!!!

  • "And as everyone knows, you can't have a hot dog without--" KETCHUP!!!! "-- mustard." Oh, ok then.

  • Thumbs up purely for Emily being a badass… "I stream my buns in the microwave, because you don't have be rich to live luxuriously" 😂

  • God I hope Simon doesn't watch this video.

  • You guys should do instant noodles for different levels of chefs 🙈

  • se não tem purê não é cachorro-quente, seus gringo safado

  • Frank, when’s the hotdogs going be ready? Frank: Oh, around two days. But we need to finish filming b- Frank: *oh yeah and I spent half your credit card on ingredients*

  • 1:13 Pot: Am I a joke to you?

  • the 4th level chef doesnt even have to cook anything.

  • Julie reminds me so much of my late grandmother and honestly, it's really bittersweet watching this video

  • Hot dogs aren't sandwichs... Their obviously tacos

  • Any other German speakers triggered when she called the Würste “BRATS” 😂
