Synopsis: They were five students with nothing in common, faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their high school library. At 7 a.m., they had nothing to say, but by 4 p.m. they had bared their souls to each other and become good friends. John Hughes, creator of the critically acclaimed Sixteen Candles, wrote, directed and produced this hilarious and often touching comedy starring Emilio Estevez, Anthony Michael Hall, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald and Ally Sheedy. To the outside world they were simply the Jock, the Brain, the Criminal, the Princess and the Kook, but to each other, they would always be The Breakfast Club.

  • 105th

  • Notice the similarities between this movie and that one episode of victorious

  • Funny, I got detention 4 times while I was in high school and it wasn't like this at all! >:( No mid detention adventures! No DJ. No rave! No smoking pot! No group therapy! Nothing! I think I've been cheated! >:(

  • The name of this music pls

  • We re-created the Breakfast Club. Check out our side-by-side music video ->

  • Thanks for the comment and I have a good idea for a movie so you guys know the show The Loud House right well how about you guys team up with Nickelodeon and do The Loud House Movie in 2024 how about that idea I mean it's not a bad idea if you ask me. and respond to me what you dudes think and also Steve-O IS A COOL DUDE AND SO ARE UNIVERSAL STUDIOS.

  • The face of my angel. <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="133">2:13</a> Ally Sheedy is so adorable.

  • Best movie ever

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="206">3:26</a> Me and the boys going to detention.

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="115">1:55</a> my favorite scene in the entire film

  • Victorious brought me here hahaha

  • Originally, the script called for Molly Ringwald to go out and dance by herself, but she was embarrassed to do it. So, director John Hughes told the rest of them to go out and dance with here. There was no choreography. It was all ad-lib. Who else was surprised to discover that Brian Johnson (Anthony Michael Hall) was actually the tallest of the bunch?

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="160">2:40</a> OmG iTs tHe DaNCe fRoM fOrTniTe

  • Ahh the 80s the era before mobile phone and social media. And also I’m writing this comment at March 24 which is the date of the breakfast club supposedly happened

  • Movies like this prove that the 80s were *THE* decade for movies

  • Wow Universal Studios I have watched all my favorite movies produced by you like TED, PAUL, The Breakfast Club, Back To The Future, and Ferris Buller's Day Off you guys rule.

  • the 80's the best....

  • This movie might be 35 years old but it’s still relevant. It’s a must watch for any kid in high school

    • Yeah I don't get why I hear some people say it's not I went to high school late 2000s - early 10s and alot of the things in this movie - the cliques, the pressure, desire to fit in, asshole teachers were still relevant even though kids may be sucked into phones these days teen angst and peer pressure never goes away, in fact my mother was a teen in the 80s and was class of 84 and she has accounts on Facebook and Instagram and looks at her phone as much as teens do. Kids never change the messages of this movie are still as relevant as they'll ever be

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="219">3:39</a> my mom when a praise break is going on

  • The weekend sampled this beat too lol I knew I heard it from somewhere

  • Don’t lie who’s here from fortnite

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="161">2:41</a> fortnite dance primo moves just added

    • A. Ericsson Mantilla lol hell yeah I saw this movie before fortnite even came out, I just came here cuz I recognized it quick 😂😂😂 “cocaine 80s” lmaoooo

    • Alex This came BEFORE Fortnite. At least they’re acknowledging the Cocaine Abusing Beautiful 1980’s.

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="81">1:21</a> first time smoking meth like...

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="89">1:29</a> THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN BRUTHERZZZZ

  • The new fortnite emote audio sounds like this audio

  • thank you 🥺🥺

  • 🎶 I love the 80’s🎶🎶🎶 When music meant something and people actually did more than twerk and called it dancing.

  • nostalgic 霸道总裁求抱抱 第80话 允许你吃醋 : The face Brian makes when he first puts on the sunglasses gets me everytime

  • Anybody know the name of the song? Thank you, have a nice day!

    • We are not Alone by Karla DeVito.

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="69">1:09</a> me when I’m on my ADHD medication <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="89">1:29</a> me when I’m off my ADHD medication

  • the best dance scene ever. even tho it's not a dance movie

  • Please Hollywood, make more movies like these. Less CGI, less explosions, but with real stories. I've watched this movie when I was a teen (the director understood the teen's issues of that period and wrote them in every characters) and re-watched it more than 10 times.

    • Please Hollywood, die already!

  • That was 100% Emilio doing those somersaults😌😂😂

  • John Hughes was such a great scriptwriter of comedy, romance and the rites-of-passage genre film. Also, if your film needs energy and a break from the characters, a good old song/dance montage will always liven it up.

  • Look like footloose dance

  • A superb clip from a superb film

  • <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="206">3:26</a> with this position the person in the mild gets the most pleasure

  • Movie is lost on millennials...

    • Maybe. I mean I’m 16 and adore this film. Millennials might love it if somebody like me does.

  • That moment than 80s dance is still the best.

  • The best part of this clip is when Emilio Estevez shuts that door, screams like freakin' crazy and shatters out all that glass!

  • Molly Ringwald is so cute.

  • I am ashamed to say I have never fully watched the breakfast club, and I'm 18 years old

    • I watched it for the first time about 2 months ago..and I'm 55....the 80's was awesome...the music incredible.... great time to be alive...

  • The face Brian makes when he first puts on the sunglasses gets me everytime

  • This is my all time favorite movie.

  • present detention: texting and snapchating 80s detention:

  • “Chicks cannot hold dis smoke. Dat’s what it is!”

  • Me and my friend tripped on acid in detention in high school 1989. We got thrown into in school suspension because we were leaving to go smoke some pot and go to McDonald's for lunch. It was a closed campus but we really didn't seem to give a shit and we certainly didn't give a shit about tripping on acid.

  • The Bitch cant take... The Smoke

  • Dancing in 80s is eccentric, but this scene makes me think Im missing out on some unique vibe. face plant doesnt qualify

  • This is THE movie that makes you wish you were a teenager in the 80's. Periodt.

    • Nah I'm good

    • @David Wislowski same with me- in 10th grade when this came out. Unfortunately- none of the characters were me. I was very slightly bits of all 3 guys.

    • I was a teenager in the 80's as i was born in 1973 and enjoyed every minute of it!

    • @Azure RELAX

    • Don’t say periodt and praise the 80s in the same sentence

  • I was thinking of the age of this guys/generation today... Okay. Now i understand the meaning of "Boomer"..

    • Miskin the terms refers to generation "baby boomers", post ww2

  • This movie made me want to get detention in high school.

  • CHOOODIE CHEEKS edit: thanks for the likes

  • upload clips from Cats

  • high AF 👍😁

  • nostalgic

  • I’m just confused why Universal uploads clips from their old movies.

    • @Hipster Elephant Exactly - and it has a 35 year anniversary.

    • They should do a john candy compilation. He did a few movies for universal.

    • In this case its because it's a great movie

    • It's good to reminisce about films from the past and think about them nostalgically. Many people can use films as a marker to where they were in their lives. Plus, this scene is funny.

    • I think it's just like memories of their classics from years before. I think its pretty cool.

  • True classic!!

  • I wouldn't mind going back to the eighties. Anyone else?

  • One of my favourite movies ever

  • We should going to skip over the confederate flag when that man was dancing?

  • My man is wearing mismatched socks when he fell over.

    • And his jumper is inside-out.

  • bad 0/100

  • That man lit a match off the inside of his mouth. It begs the question when was the last time that man brushed his teeth. Lol

    • It used to be a popular thing. I knew several that did it. It's just a party trick/show-off kind of thing... You strike it by scraping it off front teeth.

    • Off some tooth...

    • @The Connonedrum true. Maybe can find an interview or something that says.

    • @Kenny Michael Alanya beard I could see, inside mouth....yea...passs...

    • In old western movies men would lit a match with their beards. Crazy😵😵

  • Cats: Meow meow Dogs: bow bow Idiots: First first
