  • Ivan sucks and doesn’t deserve the Princess

  • "Tomorrow will bring the amswer" My Russian is not the best and I watched a translated version to my language, but I think it should be "Tomorrow is wiser than today" or "Morning is wiser than the Night"

  • Such a beautiful tale and animation! thank you for sharing with us.

  • The correct translation would be not The kingdom of Koscheevo, but rather Koshchey's Kingdom or The Kingdom of Koshchey.

  • I completely forgot about this! Oh god what a wonderful childhood I had

  • The prince is a maniac trying to shoot everything he sees

  • Can somebody please help me im really desperate to find a animated movie which i watched when i was little, the movie i think its a series of russian/or europian(idk) about a poor boy who loves the princess and i dont remeber it well but i think it had to do with a giant sea turtle who carried a town on her back, also the other story was about a girl made by snow and raised by a couple of and old man and woman then she one day jumps in a fire and vanishes in the air..this is all i can rember can please give me even the smallest help i just want to find it so bad its one of my favorite animated movies of all times

  • The Soviet Art is absolutely gorgeous! its Psychedelic art at its most detailed and vibrant. All The images are alive!

  • I have not seen this in years till now my mom would prop up old Russian shows when she was little then show it to me

  • There is this Soviet animation that I am trying to find that I don't even know the name of. The only part I have seen of it is the scene in which this young maiden (perhaps a princess) is singing gently (at first) but then she picks up a pot (or an urn) and throws it out the window and continues to sing (now in frustration) as she throws more and more pottery out the window. The hapless king is dodges all of her projectiles and her tantrum is only stopped when she notices a young man peering into her window. Can anyone here tell me the title of this animation if they know it? English or Russian is fine. I really want to see it again!

    • It was a princess, and I know it. It was made by Garri bardin somewhere around 1979.. It's even on my channel, but Now I have to dig deep into my memory... musical... the flying ship or something. let me check yep the flying ship, 1979, Garry Bardin: ru-tv.org/tv/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HphrqhD9xu4.html The flying ship 1979 letuchiy korabl English subtitles Russian animation

Mostly it's about a soldier coming home from war or years in the army and then eaither his homeland overtale by evil spirits or whatever, or meeting a girl in trouble. He of course help battle the evil and in the end marries the princess. I don't remember if in any of them he uses a lighter, but I wouldn't wonder. Это другая сказка. Она называется Царевна-лягушка. Василиса Прекрасная - совсем другая сказка. Она про то, как девочка в лес ходила к ведьме за огнем.

    • @sozaj The Flying Ship or Bremen Musicians.

    • There is this Soviet animation that I am trying to find that I don't even know the name of. • ru-tv.org/tv/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nY6sI3muOjc.html - this is the same tale in another Soviet cartoon, translated into English. By the way, the correct name for this tale is the Frog Princess. Vasilisa the Beautiful is a fairy tale about a girl who, when she entered the forest, took a fire from her witch Baba-Yaga.

    • Turn on subtitles-the icon at the bottom right of the screen

    • :( там есть английские субтитры

  • I used to love this movie when I was a kid. Thanks for the subtitles and the great quality.

  • ¡Cuántos recuerdos de infancia frente a un televisor soviético en la Cuba de la década de 1980 caben en estos más de veinte minutos de original animación! Magistral e inolvidable.

    • "Vasilisa with the stepsisters who goes to Baba Yaga's cottage for some fire" Every night I tell my 4 year old daughter that one. She loves it. The cottage on the chicken's foot

    • Actually this is not that same story. This follows "The Frog Princess" aka Tsarvana Frog.

  • Thank you! Not too many old films have both the English and Russian subtitles!
