There were 12 players drafted before Kobe Bryant. How did that happen? And how did their careers turn out?

  • Why were 0 people drafted before Lebron James? Who are they and where are they now?

  • Samaki walker man 😂

  • Kobe was gonna force his way out of anywhere that wasn't LA, so this video is pointless.

  • Everybody: Warriors are unbeatable Raptors: 🤣

  • it's because at that time kobe was a freaking high school player!

  • He was coming out of high school and this was the 90’s. Hindsight is 20/20 and we weren’t queers back them

  • The Lakers paid 12 teams to let him go to them.

  • Next why was there 5 people drafted before Larry bird

  • Isnt this collusion...the gm of the Lakers tagged team with an agent to leverage nobody drafting kobe

  • I have Vitaly Potapenko's card from 2001

  • Why werr there 43 people drafted before bol bol

  • STFU talkin about mobile games ya goddamn sellout biatch

  • Toronto Raptors 2019 NBA CHAMPIONS!

  • People always make these videos like he was a sure thing. A skinny high school kid that’s maybe 6’6”. Once in a lifetime player and he was also able to mature in an organization where he didn’t need to be the man right out the gate. Hindsight is always 20/20

  • 🐐

  • You can't really fault other gms. Maybe there were better players later in the draft but once gms start spreading around that he would go play in Europe if he didn't get his way who was going to tuch him.

  • Shareef gave me headaches in NBA jam

  • Scary Skittles we used to call him

  • U could end up with Kobe Bryant or I could end up w a guy who gets punch by Kobe Bryant. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  • Jerry West, the genious GM

  • Why has every NBA player since 2003 been drafted before me? Oh yea because I’m skinny-fat with the coordination of a shopping cart....

  • Kobe, you can't win without me. Kobe, tell me how my ass tastes.

  • *New Series* Why Was *TRUMP* Elected Before *OPRAH* ?

  • Kobe had a work habit that put every single player in the league to shame.

  • I wish the Timberwolves had taken him. I would’ve liked to see that. They would have won at least 2 titles.

  • Iverson and Bryant would not have worked...It's the kobe show.

  • Great video

  • Y you just trash the hall of famer, MVP, 4x scoring champ, 3x steals leader, 3x first team all nba and, 11x all star Allen Iverson!? Nobody had more heart then that 5'11" guard! Top 5 guard of all time! His sixers teams were trash and he still carried them to the finals!!?

  • I think you should do 14 players before kawhi

  • Fuck the raid game

  • “Most unbeatable dynasty in NBA history.” Raptors: 😂

  • That was the deepest draft ever, Kobe wasn't that much of a big deal, high school players weren't looked at really. People would have taken Marbury over Kobe 99/100 times. Iverson and Marbury were instant superstars and Ray Allen was Jesus Shuttlesworth while Kobe was averaging like 13 ppg off the bench... People forget that the internet barely existed and unless you went to a huge basketball school like Duke, North Carolina, UCLA, Kentucky, etc. you were a virtual unknown. ESPN wasn't exactly covering high school basketball the way they did once Lebron rolled around... Most people never heard of Kobe before the draft

  • Um no Ray Allen was not better than AI

  • I’m still imagining Kobe and KG 👀🤤😬

  • You talked about Iverson like he isn’t the greatest pound for pound player of all time

  • AI and Kobe woulda been epic

  • He was from high school and also in a deep draft. Plus not to mention he was picky with where he wanted to go

  • Lol that ad transition though, not bad

  • Ray Allen was the best shot until Steph came along.

  • I'm pretty sure McGrady was picked before his cousin Vince (who was traded to Toronto for his Tarheels teammate Antawn Jamison at the draft). And back in the late 90's, NOBODY wanted to play for Toronto and highschoolers were generally viewed as very high risk, medium reward at best.

  • The Toronto f***** up the worst and the draft full of offensive superstars.... and they pick a defensive guy..

  • I hate commercials that are disguised in content

  • Umm..... I take offensive to most dominant dynasty comment; that is (and I hate to say it as a Laker fan) is the Bill Russell's Celtics.... U gonna tell me for 11 years (or how ever fucking long) y'all couldn't whip their ass..... Like there was only 10 teams not 30 like today (exaggerating obv.) And y'all couldn't beat the team for a decade as they got older and older..... Let the warriors win 8 out of 10 and then that claim. Can b submitted

    • PS love ur channel. Keep working hard and doing great 👍

  • Why is there a Scott the woz vid in this playlist ain’t complaining just wondering

  • 96 draft was a once in a lifetime

  • Man gave AI no respect

  • Raid is going to change everythinggggg, Rage is completely freeeeeeeee

  • Okay, I just want to say that as a Sixers fan and I think I speak for every philly fan, I don't wish for 20 years of Kobe over Iverson. Sure he was a hometown kid and may have brought way better things to the team, but no matter how you look at it somehow AI embodied everything Philadelphia, his street mentality to his flashy play. It was a perfect fit and to this day he is and always will be my favorite player of all time despite being unable to beat the Lakers with his local rec league friends.

  • Shareef Abdur-Rahim is the Kevin of the 2000s. Always a good player but played on crappy teams.

  • I’m still taking iverson over Kobe if he would of went to the lakers they would of had 5 rings

  • Your voice is sexy af

  • Good video but I think you sold Iverson a little short. Yeah, he may have hated "practice" but the dude was a warrior on the court and worked harder than just about everybody once the ball was tipped. He led the league in minutes played numerous times, and as he was a smaller guy who constantly drove to the basket he got the shit beaten out of him every game yet kept coming back for more. He also had 2 pretty darn good seasons in Denver before he fell off, you made it seem like he was garbage in Denver right away. I really think he is an under appreciated all time great and that is mainly because of the off the court stuff which you nailed in the video, yeah, that was a mess.

  • You are saying few player's career can be justified that were drafted before him? I am curious about that. Can you justify that Dom2K?

  • Why were 40 players drafted before Jokic?

  • Selling Iverson short as fuck

  • In all these videos you act like they can predict the players successful career

  • Steve Nash & Ben Wallace should've received honorary mentions for being drafted the same year...

    • Shane Tydeman Wallace was undrafted

  • You should use your JouTube money on reading classes.

  • Loved Ray Allen in a Sonics uniform. Miss the Sonics and hate the Chunder.

  • epic 7 is better than raid in every possible way just so you guys know

  • Those stupid commercials are ruining your channel. Unsubscribed

  • Real question why would Charlotte trade him to the Lakers!!!!

  • What is the Allen Iverson video you talk about called?

  • I only know bout shareef cuz he was an absolute nightmare on nba ballers phenom

  • Philly wouldn't have given Kobe the chance to blossom there.

  • Again, these vids are kinda dumb bc in 90s, not til 2001 was a HS player drafted #1. before, GMs went on skill and talent rather than potential. KG was first, he was drafted #5 by MINN, but was drafted after Joe Smith, Antonio McDyss, Jerry Stackhouse, and Rasheed Wallace. What did all those player have in common? Went to big universities, faced top level competition, performed. In 96, Kobe was drafted #13 and Jermaine O'Neal was drafted #17. O'Neal was on the bench with Blazers til he was traded to the Pacers. Kobe came off the bench his first year. But who was drafted before Kobe? AI, Camby, Abdur-Rahim, Marbury, Allen, A Walker, Lorenzen Wright, Kerry Kittles. Again, what they all have in common? at universities, faced top level competition, performed.

  • Marbury had a lot of off-court issues, depression and such things.

  • Only liking because THAT TRANSITION WAS SO SMOOTH

  • 7:26 It worked because Kobe is a fucking lunatic

  • Favorite series you do!! 👍🏼

  • AI deserved the #1 spot regaurdless of how kobes mighty rings turned out AI proved himself in football and basketball in high school and then college; lol Kobe never proved himself in college AI was the most gifted of the 96 draft and possibly any draft.

  • But what about Brady huh???

  • these vids are getting pretty dumb. Ok, the player (Kobe) became an all time great, but when he was drafted, he was an unknown. He wasnt LBJ, he came out 7 years before LBJ. Kobe didnt have all the media coverage and HS games televised.

  • Do 1 on Dirk

  • I definitely fast fowarded thru that raid crap

  • Kobe was really the catalyst for HS kids have bigtime potential. I'm if it wasn't for him maybe lots of players needs to go to college to make it to pros .. (Rule Was Changed Later on).

  • LeBron James 😜

  • SG players seem to be the hard choices, cuzz very few get the Kobe success...

  • I remember there was a lot of hype when Kobe was drafted. It turned out to be for real, but he wasn't even a starter on the Lakers his first year yet he was selected for the all star team.

    • @Jake Rojas You are correct sir...

    • All-star 2nd season

  • I have vitaly's card

  • Lets not forget , seahawks threw the ball on 1 yard line....

  • Can you make a vid of 59 players drafted before Isaiah Thomas the 60th overall pick . that would be spectacular

  • Because they were stupid? Philly had scouts at most of Kobe’s high school games and trust, Kobe dominated and they still drafted Iverson. Not knocking Iverson, he was a bad dude but Kobe simply is a one of a kind talent. Philly cost themselves titles.

  • Because he was a high school kid and nobody wants to bet their franchise on a teenager

  • Iverson's were the best shoe ever!

  • This are terrible games

  • What do you mean why? This is a dumb title for a video

  • Y'all playing Raid or what?

  • Why he dragging Iverson like that

  • u said durant instead of garnett

  • For anyone curious about how Lorenzen Wright died, he was killed by his wife(with an accomplice i believe) for his 1 million dollar insurance policy

  • Difficult to think you are the GOAT when you were not even the best player on your own team when Shaq was there. Kobe delusion.

    • @alp21188 he needed 30 shots to get 30 points. His fg percentage is horrendous, terrible passer, overrated defense. Most of his points came from the free throw line on those bitch ass pump fakes.

    • People who speak the truth about Kobe are called haters so that no one listens to the truth being told

    • Yes! Thank you. Finally someone speaking some truth.

  • Good vid. Shameless plug. 👎

  • nba is garbanzo beans, super weak sauce, kinda like Metallica, regardless of the previous body of work, ALL the emptiness of the soulless music (sports) ruins any supposed amazing work pre garbanzo beans and ZONE defense....curry sux, seriously sux gaybron is a gay porn star an forces it, forces it, forces it anden gets paid to FORCE IT.!. eat a dick

  • Kobe is NOT better than AI. Kobe had Shaq and Robert Horry.

  • Allen Iverson has always been great, diminishing role getting older whatever he a career 25 plus ppg player has 6ft tall

  • Antoine Walker was coming off a national championship. One of the most loaded teams in history. At least one of the best of the 90's

  • Memphis is down by 12 they put AI in the game AI makes 8 straight pts and coach pulls him... AI was not washed up they forced him out

  • How come Kobe Bryant didn't punch Reggie Miller in the face when he threw him in the stands?!!LOL

  • Why stop at Kobe? The next two picks were Peja Stojakovic and Steve Nash. Also, that draft year featured the first player ever to be cut as the first round draft choice: Travis Knight.
